Jubilee 25th Aniversary
Anniversaries are times of reflection, celebration, gratitude and recommitment. In this twenty-fifth year of service to the poor in our community, there is much to recall, to celebrate and to be grateful for. We feel a deep desire to continue the work that was so simply and compassionately begun in 1979.
The Jubilee Soup Kitchen is the offspring of a concerned group of faith-filled people who saw the tremendous need to offer people the most basic human rights – the right to eat! With little funds, but with intense energy and enthusiasm, this band of community-minded and service-oriented individuals set out to respond to this growing need to feed the poor and to do so with dignity and hospitality.

The Kitchen is now not only a place to eat. Over these twenty-five years, it has become a community of people – those who serve and those who are served. Each day they gather to welcome and support each other and to help in whatever way possible those whose life journey is full of challenges and sometimes hopelessness.
