Our primary purpose has always been to feed the hungry
A major purpose of this Web site is to raise public awareness of hunger and poverty in Allegheny County and how members of the community can help by making donations. You can help support our efforts by donating:
- Money, preferably a check
- Items such as non-perishable food or household goods
Many creative individuals and organizations have made unique and valuable contributions. For example, a hotel regularly donates bedding that shows wear but is still serviceable. Also, many functions such as banquets, weddings, and so forth send leftover food to the Soup Kitchen. Some organizations send samples of toiletries or clean plastic, sealable containiers for the clients to take food home in. Do not hesitate to check with us if you may have something that might be useful!

Invite one of our staff or board to make a presentation to your organization or function:
We offer speakers to talk to your group about Jubilee Association and the John Heinz Family Center. The presentations:
- Run from twenty minutes to one hour and can be tailored to suit your audience.
- Are both informative and inspirational, portraying Jubilee and the John Heinz Family Center as bright rays of hope for our region.
We have made presentations at many kinds of organizations. Some examples include;
- Community and service organizations such as Rotary International, Lions Club
- Church groups of any denomination, and other religious organizations and ministerial associations
- Educational organizations such as PTA, PTG, catechists, teacher in-service meetings
- businesses and professional organizations, governmental, and business associations
