John Heinz Family Center
Mission:
Our staff, diverse in age, gender, and race, fosters a culturally sensitive environment in which the dignity, talent and achievement of each child is celebrated. We provide a safe learning environment where children are cared for while their parents are at work, in school, or in job training.
- Preference is given to accepting children of mothers moving from welfare to work.
- We accept children aged six weeks through preschool.
- Additional family support is available through the Jubilee Association Family Support Services.
- Convenient access to the bus routes and minutes from downtown Pittsburgh or Oakland.
Developmental Programs:
Developmental activities are planned to stimulate the well rounded development of children and foster school readiness.
- Language, social and self-help skills
- Muscular coordination
- Drama programs
- Personalized computer time
- Music lessons (piano and violin)

7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday through Friday
Fees:
- Infants $35 per day
- Young Toddlers $30 per day
- Older Toddlers $28 per day
- Preschool $26 per day
Welfare to Work and Childcare Partnership subsidies accepted.
